Job summary

The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix invites applications for a Research Technician I in the Translational Neurosciences laboratory. The successful candidate will maintain samples, assist with day-to-day experiments, and help with data recording and basic analyses.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree in Biology is preferred. Strong communication and the ability to follow established protocols are essential; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field preferred.
  • Research experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sample and lab organization for efficient workflow.
  • Perform day-to-day experiments under supervision; assist in tissue culture, Western blot, and DNA manipulation.
  • Record results and interpret data to support study goals.
  • Draft technical reports and experiment protocols; summarize quantitative results.
  • Coordinate ordering and replenishment of lab supplies.
  • Maintain lab space and equipment for safety and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and biosafety regulations.
  • Support data acquisition and preliminary analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with postdocs, graduate students, and PI on projects.
