Job summary

NORTHERN BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INC dbaNorthernB is seeking a Research Technician I in Muskegon, MI to support basic research, and facility and equipment maintenance within the operations team. You will work to complete studies in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.

The role involves handling animals, data recording in LIMS per GLP, and assisting with sample collection and drug administration. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience required.
• ALAT certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new apps.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species.
• Perform animal observations to monitor health and study status.
• Record data on paper or LIMS per GLP.
• Introduction to data review for GLP compliance.
• Collect samples including blood draws and urine collections.
• Administer drugs and perform calculations.
• Basic anesthesia monitoring and use of warming systems.
• May serve as secondary Point Technician on a study.
• Assist with animal husbandry as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
