Qualifications

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year in animal research or husbandry.
• Certification: ALAT preferred; GLP knowledge required.
• Ability to handle laboratory species; basic data collection skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer test substances by basic methods (e.g., oral gavage).
• Collect and record data and samples per GLPs and SOPs.
• Handle, restrain and care for laboratory animals.
• Input, print and edit data in computer systems.
• Maintain clean work areas and observe animal health.
• Perform in-life procedures and study preparation tasks.
• Read study protocols and extract relevant information.
• Receive animals and verify health observations.
• Follow SOPs and quality control procedures.
• May act as lead/primary technician under supervision.
