Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Research Technician I to support the operations team in Muskegon, MI. You will perform basic research tasks, maintain facilities and equipment, and help ensure studies are completed safely and accurately.

You will handle animals, record data in LIMS following GLP, assist with sample collection, drug administration, and oversee basic anesthesia monitoring. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.
Minimum 1 year experience required.
ALAT certification preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office core applications and the ability to learn additional applications.

Responsibilities

Assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species.
Perform animal observations to monitor health and study progress.
Collect and record data on paper and/or in a LIMS in accordance with GLP.
Introduction to data review for GLP compliance.
Sample collection including blood draws and urine collection.
Drug administration including eye drops and injections.
Basic anesthesia monitoring including intubation/extubation and warming systems.
May serve as secondary Point Technician on a study.
May assist with animal husbandry: cleaning, feeding, watering and enrichment.
Perform other training or duties as assigned.
