Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collect data in the field and lab, including beetle samples from local populations.
  2. Maintain beetle colonies, including rearing, feeding, and cleaning housing. Keep accurate inventory of egg clutches, larval emergence, and adults from various populations, in collaboration with Dr. Strickland's laboratory.
  3. Perform RNA isolation and gDNA extractions.
  4. Assist with database and inventory management of insect colonies, laboratory materials, supplies, and records.
  5. Contribute to laboratory maintenance alongside team members.
  6. Follow laboratory safety, biohazard, and other relevant guidelines.
  7. Learn and apply new experimental techniques and assays.
Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
