Job summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a Research Technician Associate to assist with SHARED Experiences Lab research led by Dr. Courtney Polenick in the Department of Psychiatry.

The role supports projects funded by the National Institute on Aging focusing on family caregivers and older adults with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Under guidance from faculty and Clinical Research Coordinator staff, you will perform tests, data entry, and contribute to manuscripts, posters, and grant

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Michigan and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; willingness to learn data entry tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer and score standardized neuropsychological tests; conduct participant check-ins.
• Transcribe interview data and perform literature searches.
• Assist in manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and grant proposals.
• Collaborate on papers, posters, and presentations for scientific meetings.
• Coordinate protocol visits, track supplies, and manage study-related mailings.
