Job summary

University of Arizona, Stern Laboratory in the Department of Medicine, seeks a full-time Research Technician II to support aging and metabolic disease research. The role includes wet lab work, in vivo mouse procedures, and maintaining the laboratory's mouse colony in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include data collection, figure preparation, and collaboration in manuscript and grant preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform in vivo animal studies and wet laboratory experiments following established protocols with PI guidance.
• Gather data from experiments and prepare figures for manuscripts/grants.
• Maintain mouse colony, perform breeding, weaning, and genotyping activities.
• Maintain mouse colony databases and organize records.
• Order supplies and prepare solutions; perform general lab maintenance.
• Ensure proper operation, calibration, and cleanliness of equipment; assist in data presentation for conferences.
