Join to apply for the *Research Technician role at University of Oklahoma

Provides assistance to research staff by conducting experiments, collecting data and samples, maintaining records, conducting literature searches, analyzing data, and preparing reports.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research and laboratory analysis, including measuring, weighing, isolating, identifying specimens, and collecting samples.
  2. Assist in clinical research projects by collecting data from patients or participating in studies.
  3. Gather various data forms related to research projects, such as database information and consent forms.
  4. Interpret and analyze data, discuss findings with the principal investigator, and prepare progress reports.
  5. Maintain detailed logs of all research activities.
  6. Perform literature searches and data analyses, interpret results, and summarize findings for presentation to the principal investigator.
  7. Perform additional duties as needed to support the research functions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or a related health field, or 48 months of equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency with computers, data software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data.
