Overview

The Department of Neuroscience is a basic science department focusing on cutting-edge research in neurological diseases. Dr. Giuseppina Tesco's lab is supported by federal and private funding to study the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease.

What You'll Do

Under close supervision of the Principal Investigator, conduct routine experiments following established procedures. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Culturing human iPSCs and differentiating them into neurons and glia cells.
  • Maintaining mouse colonies, genotyping, and collecting brain samples.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory.
  • Performing experiments such as biochemistry, microscopy, and molecular biology, and documenting data.

Prior experience in stem cell culture and genome editing is a plus.

What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science and at least one year of related laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced laboratory technique skills.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics.
Pay Range

Minimum $20.10, Midpoint $23.90, Maximum $27.70. Salary depends on experience and internal equity.
