Job Summary
Responsibilities
Recruits and screens study subjects, obtaining informed consent, collecting research biospecimen and data, and ensuring protocol adherence.
Tracks clinic schedule and consents research subjects.
Collects oral rinse or saliva of research participants.
Follows prescribed procedures to collect time-sensitive biospecimen samples.
Tracks surgery schedule, identifying research participants and collecting samples from OR for these patients.
Interacts with physicians, CRCs, nurses, and other clinical staff to coordinate efficient sample collection.
Helps process research samples utilizing routine research methods to achieve established research objectives.
Follows protocol to ship research specimen as needed.
Follows prescribed procedures to collect research data.
Follows prescribed procedures to keep meticulous records of samples or data collected.
Organizes data into professional format, summarizes results, and presents data to PI.
This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.
Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
