Job summary

Georgia Tech seeks an engineer to provide services for systems and equipment supporting research within an academic lab. You will work with unit management and staff to ensure reliable operation and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities include design, installation and testing of systems, developing schedules and specifications, troubleshooting, creating drawings, managing budgets, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, installation and testing of systems and components.
• Develop engineering project schedules, plans, and specifications for systems and components.
• Conduct analyses of system performance; prescribe corrective action where required.
• Troubleshoot systems; may involve calibration and repair work.
• Prepare drawings, schematic diagrams and other documentation associated with components and systems.
• Provide input to and administer project engineering budgets.
• Interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues.
• Participate in project reviews for conformance to quality standards and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned
