Job summary

Yale University’s Digital Health Lab is seeking a software developer to build and support secure, production web applications used in healthcare and public service. You will work across multiple platforms, applying C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to deliver impactful digital health tools in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Foundational web development experience with at least one modern language (preferably C#).
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage assignments reliably and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in healthcare, research, or public-service tech.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance web applications in healthcare/public-service settings.
• Develop, test, document, and maintain features using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Explore AI-assisted technologies to improve UX and workflow automation.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
• Provide user and partner support for technical questions and incidents.
• Write and maintain SQL queries; support databases.
• Assist with releases, deployment, and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate needs into software solutions.
• Protect sensitive information following security and privacy practices.
• Contribute to additional digital health applications as needed.
