KLA in Ann Arbor, MI is inviting summer interns to join engineering teams focused on characterizing and improving optical coatings for KLA’s next generation inspection and metrology tools. You will develop test plans, operate vacuum equipment, and run multi-disciplinary experiments to advance performance.

The role emphasizes data analysis, modeling, and collaboration with external partners, with strong emphasis on teamwork and communication. Internship is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year graduate program in Mechanical Engineering or related field with immigration authorization for corporate internship projects.
• Strong academic record and hands-on lab experience in optics or coatings is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develop methods and test plans for characterization of optics and thin-film coatings (high vacuum environments).
• Work with vacuum chambers and related equipment.
• Design, set up and execute multi-disciplinary experiments.
• Analyze data and prepare summary reports.
• Work with simulations based on physical models and build correlations with experimental data.
• Collaborate with scientists at external partner organizations.
