NeoGenomics is seeking a Research Scientist II eager to learn and contribute to our growth. This is a remote position with a Monday – Friday day shift onsite in Aliso Viejo, CA.

Position Summary:

The Research Scientist II performs complex tasks independently, potentially serving as Project Manager for clinical research activities, supervising project deliverables, managing sample and data collection, and overseeing project tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex assay development procedures independently
• Conduct literature reviews on new project developments
• Lead project design and feasibility studies
• Manage and supervise laboratory technologists and associates
• Analyze and present data, write validation reports, and conduct technical transfers
• Ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA requirements and specialty standards

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in life or physical sciences or M.D. preferred; B.S. or M.S. with related experience required
• At least three years of relevant laboratory experience in clinical diagnostic assay development, cancer genomics, or genomic profiling
• Experience with CLIA/CAP validation and reimbursement, including MolDx
• Strong laboratory technique knowledge
• Ability to develop and communicate complex scientific plans
• Detail-oriented with accurate data recording skills
• Excellent presentation skills and proficiency with data visualization tools
