Job summary

Atlys is building an AI-first platform that reduces friction in travel. We are seeking a Research Scientist, AI to invent methods that make our systems more accurate, reliable and autonomous than anything available off the shelf.

You will set the research direction, run careful experiments, and partner with Research Engineers to turn breakthroughs into production gains in approval rates, turnaround times and cost per application.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Computer Science, ML or related field and 3+ years of ML research.
• Track record of original or impactful research (publications or production metrics).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs beyond prompting and model tuning.
• Strong Python and PyTorch practical skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive a research agenda on agentic AI and long‑form tasks.
• Develop multimodal understanding and reasoning over noisy inputs.
• Design and run post‑training research including fine‑tuning and RL methods.
• Research calibration, uncertainty estimation and self‑verification.
• Build evaluations and collaborate to production with engineers.
