Teledyne Technologies Incorporated’s Teledyne Scientific & Imaging in North Carolina invites you to join as a Research Scientist. You will advance AI, perception, and imaging research and work with leading scientists on mission-critical projects.

We seek a Ph.D. in a technical field, 0–5 years of post-doctoral experience, with strong Python, C/C++, CUDA, and signal processing skills. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0-5 years of post-doctoral or equivalent research experience.
• Proficiency in Python and scientific programming.
• Hands-on experience with C and/or C++.
• Strong background in signal processing and statistical analysis.
• Experience with CUDA and GPU programming (strongly desired).
• Excellent communication and writing skills; U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.

• Define, develop, and deliver innovative solutions for advanced technology applications.
• Conduct research in artificial intelligence, autonomy, and decision systems.
• Design and implement advanced algorithms on PC, GPU, and embedded architectures.
• Perform signal processing and statistical analysis and engage in systems engineering tasks.
• Support hardware/software integration, testing, and evaluation of applied technologies.
• Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and collaborative research proposals.
• Travel occasionally to support programs and collaborations (less than 5%).

TSC's Intelligent Systems Laboratory in North Carolina is a state-of-the-art research and development research facility, dedicated to R&D in the areas of computational neuroscience, deep learning, machine learning, persistent surveillance, autonomous systems, and computer vision. The laboratory currently is host to world-class scientists and engineers, with advanced degrees in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, neuroscience, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and mechanical engineering.

What You'll Do:
