Teledyne Technologies Incorporated invites applications for a Research Scientist to advance AI, autonomy, and signal processing across PC, GPU, and embedded platforms. The team in North Carolina focuses on neuroscience, deep learning, and computer vision within a leading IR sensor research environment.

You will contribute to cutting‑edge R&D, collaborate with world‑class scientists, and travel up to 5% to support programs and partnerships. U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Competenze

• Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–5 years of post‑doctoral or equivalent research experience.
• Proficiency in scientific programming with Python.
• Hands‑on experience with C and/or C++.
• Strong background in signal processing and statistical analysis.
• Experience with CUDA and GPU programming.
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

TSC’s Intelligent Systems Laboratory in North Carolina is a state-of-the‑art research and development research facility, dedicated to R&D in the areas of computational neuroscience, deep learning, machine learning, persistent surveillance, autonomous systems, and computer vision. The laboratory currently is host to world‑class scientists and engineers, with advanced degrees in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, neuroscience, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and mechanical engineering.

What You’ll Do:

• Define, develop, and deliver innovative solutions for advanced technology applications

• Conduct research in artificial intelligence, autonomy, target detection & tracking, and decision systems

• Design and implement advanced algorithms on PC, GPU, and embedded architectures

• Perform sophisticated signal processing, statistical analysis, and systems engineering tasks

What You Need:
