Job summary

Strada Education Foundation is seeking a Research Project Manager to support the Employer Alignment team and the State Opportunity Index. The role blends project oversight with data analysis to turn labor market and education data into actionable insights.

The position is hybrid, with 2 days/week in our Indianapolis, IN or Washington, DC offices, reporting to the Vice President, Employer Alignment. Travel is 10–15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, economics, statistics, business, communications, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience conducting quantitative data analysis on structured datasets, with PM or admin coordination responsibilities.
• Foundational proficiency in querying/manipulating data using SQL, Python, or R; advanced Excel knowledge.
• Strong writing and communication skills for clear briefs and summaries.
• Experience with education, government labor, or workforce data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Projects and Administrative Operations: build and maintain PM systems for the State Opportunity Index.
• Coordinate workflows between internal teams and external consultants; surface milestones and risks.
• Analyze data and conduct research: clean/structure/analyze education and labor datasets using SQL/Python/R.
• Conduct qualitative interviews with state partners to verify findings and gather insights.
• Create content: translate analyses into briefing pieces and visuals for non-technical audiences.
