Anthropic is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Research to define and build the programs researchers need. You will span compute, evals, RL environments, and emerging initiatives, delivering end-to-end programs in a 0-to-1 role and adapting as priorities shift.

Weekend incident readiness may be required. You will embed with research teams, drive cross-functional execution, and establish scalable processes to accelerate research while maintaining safety and reliability.

Formación

• Background in ML research or engineering with experience building technical programs from scratch.
• Able to ramp on unfamiliar domains quickly and contribute to discussions with researchers.
• Resourceful, high-agency, and able to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities in fast-moving research environments.
• Track record of ownership of complex technical systems, including monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Embed deeply within a research domain to understand the technical landscape, build trust with researchers and leaders, and identify high-leverage problems to solve.
• Move across research areas like compute, evals, RL environments, and emerging initiatives, picking up domains quickly and going deep.
• Drive end-to-end execution of complex, ambiguous research initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Establish processes and frameworks that bring structure to unstructured research environments.
• Lead efforts like large-scale compute resource planning, including allocation, efficiency, and prioritization across teams.
• Drive eval readiness for model launches by standardizing results and improving tooling.
• Own execution and health of RL environments across major training runs, coordinating trade-offs.
• Equip leadership to make quick decisions by analyzing technical tradeoffs and giving clear recommendations.
• Act as connective tissue between research, engineering, and product teams to reduce chaos.
