Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the Neuro-Oncology Program, coordinating complex research, clinical and strategic initiatives with faculty leadership and cross‑functional teams.

You will manage the full project lifecycle from planning through reporting, monitor milestones and budgets, identify risks, and collaborate with grants management, finance, and research administration to advance program priorities.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing all aspects of a program and corresponding projects. Implements initiatives that support alignment with organizational goals and strategic planning. Leads the communication and collaboration with stakeholders. Develops the program schedule, budget, and various program and project plan details. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and provides regular updates to program leadership. Identifies and escalates issues and risks and recommends solutions. Leads and provides guidance and support to other administrative team members.

Essential Functions
  • Leads program and project teams and coordinates and delegates cross-project initiatives.
  • Conducts research, manages and analyzes data in systems, and develops reports and presentations to support programs.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and challenges associated with programs and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Monitor program progress and proactively address deviations from plans, timelines, or budgets.
  • Manages the program budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.

The Program Manager supports the mission of the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute by providing operational leadership and program management for the Neuro-Oncology Program. This role partners closely with faculty leadership to coordinate complex research, clinical, and strategic initiatives that advance the Neuro-Oncology program's goals while fostering collaboration across the Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham.

Embedded within the Neuro-Oncology Program and supported by the MGB Cancer Institute's centralized Program Management Office, the Program Manager is part of a collaborative team of program management professionals who leverage shared expertise, standardized tools and processes, operational resources, and cross-coverage to support Cancer Institute programs. This team-based model provides consistency, continuity, and scalable operational support while enabling each Program Manager to serve as a dedicated partner to their assigned program.

The Program Manager manages medium- to large-scale projects across the full project lifecycle-from planning and implementation through monitoring, evaluation, and reporting-and serves as the primary operational point of coordination for the Neuro-Oncology Program. Working closely with faculty, research administration, grants management, finance, clinical research teams, and institutional partners, the Program Manager ensures initiatives remain on track, removes operational barriers, and provides the structure and follow-through needed to execute program priorities. The role requires exceptional project management skills, strong organizational and communication abilities, experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives, and the ability to build productive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
