Position Summary
Work independently under the general direction of the PI/Chair of Medicine to manage implementation of funded research studies.
Primary Functions
Study coordination, training and support
- Overseestudy procedures including recruitment, study visit conduct, andretention of human subjects
- Ensure adherence to HHS and IRBpolicy
- Oversee workload across teams and evaluation of performanceof team members to the principal investigator
- Support training ofpostdocs, fellows, and students on study procedures and standardoperating procedure requirements
- Support interview team for hiringof incoming research staff
- Train and mentor study staff onpolicies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide administrativesupport for grant activities
- Serve as a resource to studystaff
Grant and study development
- Develop and manageelectronic databases for studies, including REDCap, Excel, etc.
- Develop and write documents to be used in grants for submissions
- Develop grant related materials, including questionnaires,intervention manuals, and study forms
- Develop protocols, informedconsent forms, and participant materials for funded studies
IRB compliance and regulatory training
- Manage IRBprocesses, including protocol submissions, continuing reviews, andamendments for Division studies
- Manage ClinicalTrials.govprocesses, including updates and serve as contact
Data analysis and research dissemination
- Supportanalysis of research data using Stata, R, or other statisticalsoftware
- Develop and present abstracts at national andinternational scientific meetings
- Collate data from national,regional, and county level sources
Community engagement support
- Coordinate communityevents and recruitment events planned in the community
- Identifyappropriate community events, coordinate with event planning team,and coordinate with Department of Medicine community engagement andresearch committees on dissemination

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus at least 2 years of experience orequivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a science, public health, or relatedfield
- 3 years of relevant experience, including experience with humansubjects recruitment, community-based research, and manuscriptdevelopment
Salary Range
$60,000 - $70,000
