Research Program Coordinator
The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing is seeking a Research Program Coordinator with clinical trial experience, particularly managing trials interfacing with community-based care. Responsibilities include managing operations for the Healthy for Two (H42) studies, including IRB protocols, recruitment, data collection, community engagement, and reporting.
About The Research Study
- Healthy For Two (H42) is a remote health coaching intervention supporting healthy gestational weight gain and postpartum weight retention, offered in English and Spanish to diverse populations.
- H42 partners with various community organizations including prenatal clinics and home visiting programs.
- Part of MACCHE Center and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity.
- Data is collected via electronic surveys, medical records review, digital scales, Medicaid data, and interviews/focus groups.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the study.
- Manage trial protocols in IRB, including amendments and reviews.
- Create and maintain manuals for recruitment and data management.
- Track recruitment, consent, and randomization in REDCap.
- Oversee data collection activities and assist with REDCap maintenance.
- Lead weekly team meetings with study PIs.
- Coordinate with community partners and monitor study retention and incentives.
- Assist with safety reporting and progress reports.
- Support hiring and supervision of research staff.
- Disseminate findings to stakeholders and assist with publications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Decision Making
- Set priorities and make decisions under supervision.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and basic statistics software.
- Understanding of clinical research and qualitative data analysis.
- Teamwork and independent work skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Interest in maternal health and clinical workflows.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel within Maryland.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- MPH or Master’s degree preferred.
- Research experience, especially in maternal health, preferred.
Employment Details
- Salary range: $17.20 - $30.30/hr, depending on experience.
- Full-time, hybrid work, Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00.
- Location: School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins University.
