Texas A&M Agrilife Research seeks a Manager to coordinate and manage general operations for the Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center at the Texas A&M RELLIS campus in Bryan, TX. The role collaborates with principal investigators on multiple projects, overseeing compliance, scheduling, and billing to support teaching, research, and extension activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating facilities, training users, managing inventories, and assisting with manuscripts and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Reproductive Physiology or closely related field and five years of related experience.
  • Master’s degree in Animal Science, Reproductive Physiology or closely related field and three years of related experience.
  • Ph.D. in Animal Science, Reproductive Physiology or closely related field and one year of related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including a relevant publication record.
  • Team-building skills, collaboration capacity, and project management abilities.
  • Highly organized.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects including planning, designing and implementing of research.
  • Manages compliance by writing protocols for animal care and IBC. Ensures protocols are followed and studies are conducted safely and ethically.
  • Manages and maintains livestock at the building.
  • Provides training to users and ensure training is up to date.
  • Manages inventory for lab spaces, order and procure supplies and equipment.
  • Manages space and research calendar to maximize use of space.
  • Assists with billing and budgets for users.
  • Assists with writing research reports and creating presentations.
  • Assists with collecting and the analysis data.
  • Assists with drafting and editing of manuscripts.
  • Coordinates building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
