Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Supervisor of Research Operations to guide administrative activities for an HMAI department, including planning and budgeting. The role supports grant applications, reporting, and financial analyses to drive strategic goals.

The supervisor will train staff, ensure staffing and budget compliance, and contribute to policy development, while ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health science, business or related field.
• Two years of healthcare professional/administrative/laboratory or research experience with progressive responsibility.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with physicians, sponsors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily work activities of department staff, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Train, supervise and coach staff while maintaining staffing levels and budget compliance.
• Assist in development and implementation of policies to ensure safe, ethical, and regulatory compliant operations.
• Support planning, management of grant submissions, tracking and reporting of grant applications and funding opportunities.
