Anthropic is seeking a professional for risk report operations, focusing on coordinating contributions and ensuring timely, clear, and accurate reports. The ideal candidate will excel in technical writing, project management, and improving reporting processes.
This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience working with large language models. Candidates should be skilled in managing complex projects while collaborating effectively with research teams.
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Anthropic publishes risk reports, long‑form technical documents that lay out our assessment of the most serious potential risks from our models in domains such as CBRN, cyber operations, and AI autonomy. These reports detail the evaluation results behind that assessment, the safeguards applied, and the reasoning for why a given model is safe to deploy under our Responsible Scaling Policy. You will own risk report operations, coordinating contributions from dozens of researchers, holding the schedule and open‑thread list, and ensuring the document ships on time as a single, internally consistent whole. You will also do substantive editorial work, turning evaluation results, threat models, and researcher notes into clear prose and pushing back when a safety argument doesn’t hold together. The role also keeps risk reports aligned with related external safety artifacts, such as system cards and Responsible Scaling Policy updates, ensuring consistency across all commitments.
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Minimum years of experience: Years of experience correlating with the internal job level requirements for the position.
Location‑based hybrid policy: We expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more onsite time.
Visa sponsorship: Anthropic sponsors visas where possible, making every reasonable effort to secure sponsorship for qualified candidates.
Annual Salary: $260,000 – $310,000 USD.
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space to collaborate with colleagues.
