Job summary

The Functional MRI Laboratory at University of Michigan seeks a dedicated MRI technologist to support brain research across campuses. You will operate MRI equipment, assist researchers, and ensure strict safety and HIPAA compliance while providing excellent guest relations to study participants.

Qualifications

• Registered MRI technologist or eligible for ARRT/ARMRIT certification within the specified timeline.
• Experience operating MRI scanners and knowledge of safety protocols.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient consent procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates an MRI scanner to obtain clinically useful images for diagnosis.
• Assist maintenance staff and vendors to schedule repairs and coordinate downtime.
• Set up MRI scans for graduate students and postdocs; train others as needed.
• Ensure subject consent and safety screenings are current and properly logged.
• Document scans accurately for billing and research records.
