The Senior Transportation Engineer will lead transportation research and innovation at Caltrans, focusing on new technologies and systems thinking. Responsibilities include conducting transportation engineering research, developing decision support methodologies, providing technical consultation, representing the division on technical committees, and managing specialized research projects. The role requires expertise in transportation research, emerging transportation technologies, and infrastructure.
Position located at 1727 30th Street, Sacramento. Work in a climate-controlled office with potential travel to meetings. Telework may be available depending on departmental policy.
Must possess registration as a professional Civil Engineer in California. Graduate work in Engineering is highly desirable.
