Job summary

Channel Dynamics in Golden, Colorado is seeking a Research Manager to lead two research teams and optimize our primary research workflows. You will coordinate bespoke projects from scoping through delivery, align timelines with the publication schedule, and strengthen client engagement.

This is a broad role with real ownership from day one, including owning the release calendar, guiding AI-enabled tooling, and driving process improvements as the research function scales while upholding stringent

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in primary research, expert networks, equity research, management consulting, or a comparable analytical environment.
• Track record of coordinating work across multiple stakeholders and taking on direct people-management responsibility.
• Comfortable managing a distributed team across time zones, including Islamabad-based colleagues.
• Comfortable owning a recurring operating calendar with hard external deadlines (publication/client-delivery).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills given client-facing and cross-team nature of the role.

Responsibilities

The Role

The Research Manager is the operational center of our research team. Reporting to the Head of Research, you will make the research team more effective by leading the sector research teams that deliver syndicate and bespoke research to leading private and public equity clients. As your role as Research Manager, you will constantly liaise with our research teams to help strengthen our core product, implement process improvements throughout the rapidly growing research team, along with strengthening client relationships and engagement.

You will manage two teams: our bespoke projects team and our sector analyst team. Your job is to set direction, allocate capacity, and unblock the work, not to execute every project yourself.

This is a broad role with real ownership from day one. You will work alongside senior leadership, sit across every sector we cover, and have direct influence on how the research function operates as it scales.

What You Will Own

Bespoke Projects Team

• Manage the team in Islamabad that delivers custom research engagements end-to-end, from scoping and approach through to final delivery
• Allocate project work across the team, set timelines, and hold the bar on quality and turnaround
• Balance bespoke demand against the standard publication schedule so neither slips
• Ensure bespoke deliverables meet the same quality and compliance standards as published research

Sector Analyst Team

• Manage the sector analyst team based in Islamabad, including day-to-day direction, workload allocation, and prioritization across competing demands
• Participate in sector meetings to maintain visibility across coverage areas and surface themes that cut across sectors
• Support analyst development through regular feedback and coaching

Research Team Support & Engagement

• Manage the flow of client feedback and engagement priorities back to the research team, keeping analysts current on what clients care about
• Maintain a consistent cadence and format for research team updates so information reaches sector teams reliably
• Run the weekly sector meeting cadence, setting the agenda, keeping discussion focused on client priorities and coverage decisions, and tracking follow-ups to close

Release Calendar

• Own and manage the research release calendar end-to-end, keeping publication timing accurate and predictable
• Track upcoming releases against client commitments and flag scheduling conflicts early

Process, Compliance Workflow & AI Tooling

• Own the AI-enabled workflow tools supporting the research process, keeping them current and adopted across the team
• Identify recurring tasks across the research process and build repeatable systems or automations to streamline them
• Partner with operations staff where research workflows intersect with firm-wide systems

Ideal Candidate

• Several years of experience in primary research, expert networks, equity research, management consulting, or a comparable analytical environment
• Track record of coordinating work across multiple stakeholders, and readiness to take on direct people-management responsibility
• Comfortable managing a distributed team across time zones, including colleagues based in our Islamabad office
• Comfortable owning a recurring operating calendar with hard external deadlines, such as a publication or client-delivery schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, given the client-facing and cross-team nature of the role
• Genuine interest in working with AI-enabled tools and workflows, and in building better process rather than just running existing ones
