Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Laboratory Technician to provide day-to-day operations and administrative support for NIH teams. You will conduct experiments, operate equipment, prepare specimens, and manage samples with precise documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in science, 2+ years of laboratory experience, and proficiency with MS Office. This is an on-site position on NIH campuses in Bethesda or Baltimore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science field is required.
• Minimum two years working in a laboratory environment.
• Experience in performing biological research.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and coordinate laboratory experiments in support of research.
• Implement new techniques and procedures per protocols.
• Perform routine and specialized lab techniques for studies.
• Operate instruments and prepare specimens and reagents for use.
• Manage, label, track, and store samples according to safety rules.
• Record observations, ensure data integrity, and report findings.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and consumables.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and work areas.
• Adhere to laboratory safety, compliance, and guidelines.
