Job summary

Guidehouse Inc. in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to support NIH. This full-time, on-site role requires performing diagnostic testing across Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology, ensuring accurate results and meticulous record-keeping.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, at least two years in a clinical hospital laboratory, and the ability to obtain a public trust. You will validate data, maintain QA/QC, and collaborate with a small team on complex testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical hospital laboratory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD public trust.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic testing on Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology specimens.
• Assess specimen suitability and proper processing prior to analysis.
• Collaborate with staff to perform moderate-to-high complexity testing.
• Validate control data before releasing patient results.
• Manage and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and reagents.
• Document instrument downtime and corrective actions.
