Job summary

The Lab Services Coordinator-Research at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is responsible for receiving, preparing, processing, documenting, storing, and tracking research specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

This role supports research studies by ensuring samples are handled accurately, efficiently, and with data integrity and chain of custody, on-site at the University Hospital campus, with potential after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health related Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred; lab experience desired.
• Background in molecular biology & biochemistry desired; computer literacy with Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, preparation, processing, documentation, storage, and tracking of research specimens.
• Ensure samples are handled accurately, efficiently, and with data integrity and chain of custody.
• On-site role located on University Hospital campus; some after-hours may be required.
