Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Lab Services Coordinator for the Clinical Trials Processing Lab at James Cancer Hospital. The role supports specimen labeling, processing, storage and shipping for clinical trials and maintains related documentation.

You will assist with data management, inventory control and quality checks of samples while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective collaboration with clinical staff and external labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or health-related sciences.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; 2–4 years preferred.
• Experience with specimen processing and laboratory safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists with labeling, processing, storage and shipping of clinical trial specimens in compliance with regulations.
• Constructs sample libraries of blood, tissue, urine, and other materials.
• Manages data entry, inventory control and quality control of specimens.
• Maintains records, prepares supplies, and communicates with outside laboratories as needed.
• Ensures adherence to FDA, IRB, SOPs and safety procedures during processing.
