Job summary

UC San Diego Health, through the Department of Psychiatry, is seeking a part-time research assistant to support studies on brain, addiction, and development. Under supervision, you will collect data, administer measures, collect specimens, assist with neuroimaging, recruit participants, and manage scheduling and data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some lab experience.
• College coursework in psychology or related field with some lab experience.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of participant information.
• Experience assisting with neurocognitive/behavioral assessments and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist PIs on studies investigating brain, addiction, and development.
• Collect data and administer behavioral and neurocognitive measures.
• Collect biological specimens (saliva, urine, hair).
• Assist with neuroimaging acquisition and scheduling study appointments.
• Recruit participants and obtain informed assent/consent; enter and verify data.
• Maintain equipment and prepare data collection forms; assist with other lab tasks as needed.
