Job summary

HonorHealth Research Institute in Scottsdale seeks a Research Infusion Authorization Coordinator I to initiate and obtain prior authorizations for clinical trials and infusion therapies. You will work with clinical and administrative teams to prevent denials by ensuring medical necessity and timely authorization.

You will coordinate patient financial paperwork, screen for manufacturer assistance, verify insurance, document in EMR, and communicate payer criteria to providers and patients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior authorization experience.
• 2 years of medical/insurance office experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage prior authorizations for HonorHealth Research Institute patients.
• Review medical records and payer criteria for approval.
• Coordinate outpatient infusion site replacements and medication orders.
• Assist in financial counseling and review charity programs.
• Maintain EMR notes on benefits, authorizations, and predeterminations.
• Communicate with patients and providers about status and requirements.
• Engage in denials appeals and peer-to-peer reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
