Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related area.
• 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Efficient time management and ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment; adapt to changing priorities; follow through on tasks.
• Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
• Understand general fund accounting, purchasing, budgeting, financial projection and business planning concepts.
• Excellent computer skills and facility with MS Excel (sorting, pivot tables, filtering, basic formulas).
• Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles.
• Independent judgment and strong organization and communication skills with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial and post-award components of contracts and grants.
• Work on complex proposals and awards with multiple investigators and sub-awards.
• Complete and approve transactions for signature by manager or authorized official.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff and ensure compliance with sponsor policies.
• Maintain contract and grant records and generate customized reporting as needed.
