Job summary

Arkana Laboratories is seeking a Research Coordinator to provide the administrative and operational backbone for its research program, supporting the Director of Research Administration across regulatory compliance, grant submissions, and reporting.

The role touches all aspects of the portfolio, including IRB approvals, biospecimen requests, and contract research coordination. Strong organizational skills and discretion are essential for success in a highly visible position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of related administrative experience preferred.
• Experience formulating and implementing policies, workflows, and procedures.
• Ability to organize abstract ideas into a coherent, actionable plan.
• Experience managing multiple long-term projects across different clients and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical, budgetary, and programmatic details.
• Working knowledge of human subjects research compliance and federal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for regulatory compliance, IRB approvals, and grant submissions.
• Monitor and report on grants, budgets, and key metrics to investigators and leadership.
• Assist with onboarding into eRA Commons and Login.gov, including access setup and security.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with Finance, HR, and other departments to resolve research hurdles.
• Fulfill external biospecimen and materials requests from partner institutions.
• Support contract research activities, including preparing kits and coordinating national/international material requests.
• Draft professional correspondence and coordinate meetings and venue reservations.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain compliance across projects.
