US Oncology Inc. in Eugene, OR is seeking a Research Finance Coordinator to manage clinical trial revenue.

You will build templates for budgets, track receivables, and maintain logs and spreadsheets for trial financial data, ensuring accurate reimbursement per agreements. You will work closely with the Research Director, study team, and accounting/finance colleagues to support monthly financial presentations and contract relationships with vendors, while adhering to the organization’s compliance

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in general accounting/bookkeeping, receivables, payables and payroll required
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience required
  • Medical business office experience or clinical research finance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build templates for clinical trials budgets working in conjunction with practice, third party vendors, and industry contracts
  • Track and monitor receivables related to all clinical studies conducted at the practice, review expenditures and receipts at study close-out, verify reimbursement per agreements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain logs and spreadsheets tracking trial data and program financial data
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices monthly; coordinate and issue research account related check requests; assist in establishment and closing of accounts
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial management presentations
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including the Research Director, Managers, Study Team and accounting/finance members

Overview

Research Finance Coordinator

Under general supervision, perform all duties related to managing clinical trial revenue for research studies. Duties include building budget templates, tracking revenue for open trials, maintains spreadsheets or other systems for tracking financial information. The individual is required to work in a highly collaborative environment and interact professionally with numerous stakeholders including the research study team, staff accountants, central business office, physicians, corporate representatives from US Oncology and industry. Work closely with the study team and follow research trials from initial submission to closure. This individual would be part of the clinical research team but work directly with the finance staff at the practice level, ultimately reporting to Research Management. Maintain contractual/financial relationships with sub-contractors and third party vendors as necessary. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $19.00-$42.56. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, internal equity,etc.
