Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is hiring a Research Financial Administrator-HSOM to support pre-award and post-award financial activities and provide PIs with regular updates on grant funding and financial status.

The role serves as the primary administrative contact for complex research programs, plans logistic support for events, assists in budget development, and prepares reports for funding agencies while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative contact for one or more complex research and training programs.
• Plan and provide logistical and administrative support for pre- and/or post-study related events with Principal Investigator (PI).
• Assist in the financial management of site studies and participate in the development and execution of budgets and service agreements with other institutions and/or service providers.
• Prepare reports for funding agencies and ensure timely submissions and compliance with appropriate agencies.
• Oversee collection and management of data in research activities including quality control and assurance of data integrity.
