Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 credit hours of accounting; at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Accredited degree can substitute for experience year-for-year.
  • Master's in Accounting or Business Management preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access for financial reporting.
  • Experience with Banner, MyReports, Chrome River systems.
  • Experience with NIH awards and grant submissions; ability to interpret funding policies.

Responsibilities

  • Guide faculty in internal and external grant preparation.
  • Handle contract and clinical trial applications.
  • Maintain fiscal operations of restricted and unrestricted research funds.
  • Monitor and reconcile restricted/unrestricted indexes.
  • Analyze revenues and expenses for grants and trials; prepare monthly reports.
  • Oversee research award lifecycle from proposal to closeout; collaboration with SPO and Contract & Grant.
