In the Koo laboratory, we are dedicated to the development and application of novel diagnostic approaches for infections in immunocompromised hosts and the delineation of the epidemiology and pathophysiology of opportunistic pathogens, especially fungi, in these patient populations. The candidate will be expected to have experience, or a high capacity to learn, murine pneumonia models, and molecular genetic techniques including spatial transcriptomic studies, and microbiologic/mycologic laboratory techniques. The team will include the Principal Investigator and other collaborating faculty, research scientists, postdoctoral fellows, and research assistants. We are seeking a Research Fellow with the enthusiasm to develop projects that will contribute to diverse and highly collaborative research programs. The new hire will be appointed as a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts General Brigham and at the Harvard Medical School.
