Overview
Auburn University is seeking a Research Fellow toassist with and conduct original research, including planning,maintaining, and completing research programs and projects focusedon the discovery of new knowledge, techniques, and concepts. Thisposition applies advanced scientific and research knowledge,skills, and abilities while adhering to applicable policies,procedures, regulations, and laws.
Responsibilities
- Develops original project proposals, research designs, plansand protocols and assists in the development of complex projectproposals, plans and protocols.
- Designs and/or conducts complex experiments, investigationsand/or studies related to programs and projects in pursuit of newknowledge, techniques and concepts.
- Coordinates or assists with logistics of research to includeequipment, materials, and labor needs.
- Collects data/samples related to own research as well asothers' research and in complex cases.
- Records, compiles, processes and analyzes data/samples.
- Documents results and observations in writing as well aspresenting results to others.
- May prepare research results for publication or presentation atconferences to include performing literature reviews and writingresults and discussions.
- May serve as an instructor and/or supervisor to otherresearchers and students in area of expertise.
- May provide consulting to third party organizations related toresearch activities.
- May maintain projects and/or coordinate funding.
Qualifications
Level I:
- PhD Degree in content specific area of research.
Level II:
- PhD Degree in content specific area of research and 2 years ofexperience in research practices and protocols.
Level III:
- PhD Degree in content specific area of research and 4 years ofexperience in research practices and protocols.
Level IV:
- PhD Degree in content specific area of research and 2 years ofexperience in research practices and protocols.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Job related licensure may be required for specific positions.
