Job summary

Florida State University’s National High Magnetic Field Laboratory – Electron Magnetic Resonance group seeks a Research Faculty (Open Rank) to advance EMR research. You will design, execute, and interpret high-frequency EPR experiments, collaborating with chemists, physicists, and engineers to push the frontiers of paramagnetic systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining the 94 GHz HiPER spectrometer, contributing to publications, and pursuing external funding to grow the EMR program.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with pulsed EPR spectroscopy and high-frequency EPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate EPR findings.
• Design and conduct advanced EPR experiments (CW and pulsed) to study paramagnetic systems.
• Maintain and enhance EPR instrumentation, including the 94 GHz HiPER spectrometer.
• Contribute to publications and conference presentations of EMR research.
• Grow the EMR program by seeking funding and submitting grant applications.
