Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Research Engineer for the Economic Research Data Platform to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure that powers AI economics research. You will work with data systems from across Anthropic, ensuring privacy-preserving, scalable pipelines for public-facing analytics.

You will collaborate with Data Science, Data Infrastructure, Societal Impacts, and Public Policy teams to deliver robust data services, APIs, and workflows that enable researchers to understand AI's

Qualifications

• Experience building data-intensive applications and pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and writing code in Python.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers, data scientists, policy experts, and other cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the data pipelines that turn raw usage data into clean, reusable, privacy-preserving datasets.
• Design new systems and ML pipelines to understand AI usage and economic impact.
• Develop self-serve workflows to ingest and integrate external data sources with internal datasets.
• Develop APIs, libraries, and interfaces to serve data to researchers and the public.
• Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, policy experts, and other teams to advance Anthropic's safety mission.
• Contribute to team roadmaps, documentation, and governance practices.
