Job summary

Anthropic’s Research Data Platform team builds the tools researchers use to manage, query, and analyze data from training runs. You will embed with research teams, creating data pipelines, APIs, and tooling that travel from experiments to fast, queryable storage.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience building data-intensive applications or internal tooling.
• Ability to ship tools that researchers will actually use and adopt.
• Interest in machine learning research and data workflows.
• Comfort embedding with research teams and iterating with users.
• Wamiliarity with data pipelines, provenance tooling, and data catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate data pipelines from research training runs to queryable storage.
• Design and build APIs, libraries, and web interfaces for data management and analysis.
• Develop dataset management, data cataloging, and provenance tooling.
• Embed with research teams to understand workflows and ship high-leverage tooling.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to extend existing systems instead of reinventing them.
