You have a team working in support of you; they own bringing the relevant data and insights to you, which will allow you to architect the story and implications. You will partner with your team to make sure your story is supported by the correct data, and you will also interface with your team’s Account Manager to ensure that your story is actionable and impactful for the client.Things You’ll DoPeopleLead a team of 2-4, mentoring/coaching junior and mid-level staff — sharing responsibility for their development and training roadmapsManage resourcing for your teamInvolvement in company-wide talent-development initiativesClients & ProjectsLead and deliver multiple research / insights engagements (both qual and quant) simultaneouslyOversee all key stages of the project process from project kick-off to report presentation (survey/discussion guide development, analysis, storytelling, reporting)Act as “thought partner” to clients — crafting insights, developing actionable recommendations, maintaining client relationships, and supporting account growthSupport MD & AMs in business development effortsOperationsOversee the operational aspects of client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to scopeDrive adoption and continuous improvement of standardized processes, tools, and best practices to increase efficiency and consistencyIdentify and resolve operational bottlenecks, risks, or conflicts before they impact deliveryChampion research excellence by ensuring quality control processes are consistently appliedEducation and Experience RequirementsFour-year college degree in related major (business, sociology, psychology, political science, econ, math, statistics, etc.) preferred7-10 years of marketing research experience (supplier side experience preferred)Direct experience with all stages of the qualitative and quantitative research process, methods, and analysisGenuine interest in better understanding consumer behaviorExperience consulting clients/business executives on strategic and tactical insightsExperience with and strong desire to manage and mentor junior employees, with direct management experience preferredAbility to work with teams in creative and analytical environmentsAbility to problem solve, make decisions, and take initiativeStrong organizational, attention to detail, and time management/prioritization skillsOutstanding communication skills, in both written and oral formHands-on advanced knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SPSSHands-on advanced knowledge of and proficiency with Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) preferredPhysical RequirementsThis position is primarily performed in a remote office environment.
