Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Overview: AngioSafe is a Bay Area start-up focusing on improving healthcare delivery through state-of-the-art catheter development. We are pioneering the development of novel treatment mechanisms and algorithms to provide unprecedented access to peripheral and coronary disease treatments. Our seasoned experts are committed to producing and selling high quality and innovative products to decrease risk and improve outcomes of arterial disease.

The successful incumbent in this role will help develop our suite of novel vascular interventional devices and support our pipeline of device solutions. This role will have a meaningful and direct impact on AngioSafe’s device development, implementing new processes and technology resulting in high quality, high capacity and a sustainable product line.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Contribute to the design and development of proof-of-concept prototypes, disease models, and test methods for concept evaluation.

· Conceptualize and iterate component and assembly designs and drawings from brainstorm phases to concept realization.

· Utilize rapid prototyping techniques and resources to facilitate design iterations.

· Develop protocols and reports and perform/oversee verification and validation testing.

· Create test method from scratch.

· Work with component suppliers to develop and meet internal design specifications.

· Design for Manufacturing (DFM) experience.

· Work with a cross-functional team to define and accomplish research and development goals.

Required Experience:

· Bachelor of Science degree

· 5 Years Minimum Industry Experience

· CAD skills, including generation of component specification drawings

· Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences

· Keen attention to detail

· Awareness and attention to high-level design goals and company direction

· Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work

· Validation protocol design and report writing experience and skills

· Device User Needs development and design implementation experience

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and with inherent initiative

· Innate flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of roles in a small company & rapidly changing organization

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across the organization; demonstrates a high level of maturity, self-motivation, and team-orientation

· Critical problem solving skills.

· Willing to laugh at yourself.

Preferred Experience:

· Catheter Medical Device Experience

· Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical Engineering Degree

· Experience with disposable catheter-based medical/vascular device design
