Research & Development Engineer with Mathematica Expertise

This role is central to our R&D efforts in developing cutting-edge medical laser devices. You will engage in full-lifecycle product development—from initial conceptualization and prototyping to production—enhancing product performance while adhering to stringent clinical and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Mathematica Model Development: Design, build, and optimize advanced Mathematica models and simulations to improve device reliability and performance.
  2. Product Lifecycle Management: Lead the progression of software and integrated systems from concept through to validation and production deployment.
  3. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, optical, and electrical engineering teams to integrate Mathematica-based tools into holistic system designs.
  4. Medical Device Focus: Tackle complex engineering challenges specific to the medical laser industry, driving innovation in performance and safety.
  5. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all development work aligns with FDA and ISO standards, producing comprehensive documentation for testing and validation.
Required Qualifications:
  • PhD preferred (Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related).
  • 5+ years of experience with Mathematica, particularly in end-to-end product/system development.
  • Familiarity with machine tools (lathes, mills, CNC) and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Prior experience in the medical device sector, ideally in laser technologies.
  • Proven ability in Mathematica programming, simulation, and algorithm design.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of FDA and ISO regulatory environments.
