Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field, or 4 years of laboratory experience.
• Applicants must list current or pending qualifications upon submission.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and analytical thinking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Box, and Windows.
• Spanish-speaking patient interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect data from operative notes and create visualizations of UNOS, OPTN, and internal databases.
• Review and draft protocols to ensure IRB approval within university compliance.
• Support the management and coordination of multiple liver transplant research studies.
• Act as an intermediary between the research team, physicians, and collaborators while overseeing data collection and management.
• Interact with Spanish-speaking patients; Spanish fluency preferred.
• Create, clean, update, and manage databases and comprehensive datasets and reports.
• Utilize Excel, Python, or other data visualization software to draw conclusions from external databases and internal study results.
