Job summary

Boston College seeks a detail-oriented Research Associate at the Connell School of Nursing to support multiple studies in heart failure, neonatal health, and aging. The role blends project management, study support, and data management.

Collaboration spans PIs, students, researchers, and external partners to ensure study success. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team, contribute to study manuals, manage IRB materials, and apply qualitative and quantitative methods using NVivo,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, or a related field
• 2-3 years of research experience
• Experience in conducting interviews and/or focus groups
• Strong written and spoken English communication

Responsibilities

• Research project tracking: assist PIs with timelines, deliverables, and coordinating workflow with team
• Study participant recruitment and monitoring: screen eligibility, enroll participants, schedule interviews, obtain consent
• Research activities: administer study protocols, assist with IRB materials, develop training manuals and SOPs
• Data management: assist data collection, use Qualtrics/REDCap, maintain databases, ensure data quality
• Qualitative data analysis: assist with thematic/content analysis, draft codebooks, summarize findings
• Quantitative data analysis: analyze study data with Excel and Stata, assist with data prep
