Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital seeks a data manager to oversee data management for research studies and informatics projects. You will collaborate with project directors and investigators to design, implement, and validate complex data sets and databases.

The role includes developing case report forms, ensuring data quality, and supervising junior data managers while providing training and project support. A degree in a related field and experience in data management are required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field is required; an MS/MA is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in data management.

Responsibilities

• Provides data coordination and data management services for research studies and other computational health informatics projects.
• Design and preparation of clinical and/or bench research data sets and reports for researchers and stakeholders.
• Confers with researchers and stakeholders to provide technical advice and problem solving for informatics projects.
• Collects, enters, and imports data into program-specific databases and informatics software.
• Tracks data requests and provides help and training to stakeholders using informatics software and systems.
• Supports project reporting for data review, quality control, and interim/final analysis.
• Designs, develops, and validates databases to support informatics projects.
• Provides educational support and training to researchers and staff.
• Assists in supervision of data management staff and provides project management support.
